Library Services for Summer Quarter

All CWU Libraries locations will remain closed through Summer Quarter. However, we are operating virtual services and can deliver many of our resources in electronic format. Services are evolving and resources are being added, so be sure to regularly check our service update page

Late Fees

Your CWU, Summit, and Interlibrary Loan items were automatically renewed for you until the beginning of Fall Quarter, 2020. Overdue penalties accrued during this period will be waived.

Article & Chapter Scans

We will scan and deliver articles and book chapters from our collection and deliver them to your email within 24 hours. This service is for students, faculty, staff, Alumni Association and community borrowers. Find material and place requests through OneSearch. Please note: Due to copyright and administrative restrictions, we can only offer scanning of reasonable and limited portions of works.

Home Delivery

CWU students, faculty, and staff may request CWU Libraries books and media from OneSearch, and we'll deliver them to your home. Material will be sent via Library Mail rate, but please contact us at if you need something quicker. Please note: Requests for physical Summit and interlibrary loan materials are unavailable until further notice. As of May 27, 2020, Ellensburg residents will have the option to pick up requested material by appointment at Brooks Library. We will contact you after you place your request to determine your preference.

Online Research

We have many new and trial databases available for you to use on- or off-campus. For the full list of all of the databases we subscribe to, please visit our A-Z list. You must be a current CWU student, faculty, or staff member with a valid account to access these resources.

Faculty Instruction Support

Returning Items

Books and media, including Summit and Interlibrary Loan materials, may be returned to the book drop near the front entrance of Brooks Library. Returns may also be made at an Orbis Cascade Alliance member library. Please check individual library websites to confirm they are accepting returns.

Library and MEC laptops/equipment must be returned to Brooks Library. Contact us at (509) 963-3682 or to set up a date/time.
