Historical or Biographical Sketch: The Thorp Terra Firma Garden Club of Thorp, Washington was organized in 1951 as member of the Washington State Federation of Garden Clubs. In 1965, the president was Mrs. F. W. Callahan and the club had a membership of sixteen. The club disbanded sometime in the 1970s. The exact date is presently unknown. Scope and Content Note: The scrapbook of the Thorp Terra Firma Garden Club contains photographs and newspaper clippings of the Third Annual Flower Show held at Thorp High School on Friday June 18, 1965. The scrapbook consists of black & white and color photographs of prize winning flowers and members of the Garden Club. Included are floor plans to the show, rules and regulations and specimens exhibited. Research Note: Open to the public for educational research.
