| History: | The Faculty Council at Central Washington College of Education (presently Central Washington University) was begun during the fall quarter of 1946 to allow faculty representation in administrative decisions related to personnel policies and procedures. The Faculty Council consisted of eleven faculty members and the president of the college. The Council first met on November 6, 1946 and met bi-monthly until the summer of 1963. The Faculty Council evolved into the Faculty Senate in September of 1963. |
