History: The Glyndauer Club of Central Washington State College (presently Central Washington University) was organized in April of 1960 as a “living group for girls” that resided at “Glyndauer Manor”, a nearby house purchased by the school. The club organized and sponsored annual Christmas and Halloween parties, Scholarship and Winter teas, pajama parties and auctioned dinners. In 1968, Glyndauer Manor was closed to student living and the club dismantled. The following year the house was torn down to make way for a proposed Technology and Industrial Education Building. The house was located on the corner of 14th Avenue and Walnut Street.
Contents: The collection of scrapbooks consists of photographs, newspaper clippings, ephemera and various memorabilia associated with the Glyndauer Club of Central Washington State College (presently Central Washington University) from 1960 to 1967. The scrapbooks include group photos of members and candid pictures of parties and other events sponsored by the organizations.
