History: The Cultural Heritage and Museum Project at Central Washington University was organized in the Spring of 2002 as a Presidential task force to survey archival materials deemed to be historically significant to the institutional memory of the university. The task force was dissolved in the Fall of 2004 with the creation of the University Archives department in Brooks Library.
Contents: The collection consists of loose files obtained during a survey conducted by the Cultural Heritage and Museum Project at Central Washington University in 2003 and 2004. The files contain an inventory list from Kamola Hall (1929), correspondence to and from Alexander H. Howard (1950), a proposal for and records from the university’s Women’s Center (1975-1989), newspaper clippings and programs from the Washington State Women’s Conference held on campus in 1977, teaching awards for Pearl D. M. Douce (1980-1990) and a scrapbook programs sponsored by the university’s Women’s Center in 1976.
