History: Washington Business Week was established in 1976 to prepare high school students to enter the business workforce. The origins of Business Week began in the early the 1970’s when Central Washington University President James Brooks began to facilitate meetings that brought together the state’s business and education leaders. Central Washington University hosted the first Business Week in the summer of 1976. Business Week has expanded to three other universities in the State of Washington since 1976. They include Gonzaga University, Pacific Lutheran University and Western Washington University
Contents: Collection contains correspondence, curriculum materials and ephemera produced for Washington Business Week at Central Washington University in 1984 and 1985. The collection includes class exercises and assignments, reports and notes from students and instructors, photographs of instructors and related supplementary material.
Restrictions: Open to the public for educational research.
