Historical or Biographical Sketch: The library began in Barge Hall, moved into Bouillon Hall in 1962, and finally to the current building in 1973. In 2003, the building was named in honor of Dr. James L. Brooks, former president of Central Washington University.

Scope and Content Note: Annual reports of all library departments, including the Elementary School library for appropriate years. Reports present data on expenditures, staffing, and other operational information.
