    Historical or Biographical Sketch: The Office of the President at Central Washington University originated with the appointment of a Principal for Washington State Normal School by the Board of Trustees in the fall of 1891. The title of Principal was changed to President in 1914 and continues to be used to the present day.

    Scope and Content Note: The collection consists of changes and updates to policy and procedure manuals published by Central Washington University from 1974 to 2004. Contained in the updates are hand written notes, correspondence, memorandums and supplementary information related to changes in the university’s general policies and procedures manual. Included in the collection is a 4x6 card index to the university’s general policies and procedure manual and video cassettes of campus events kept by the president’s office from 2000 to 2006.
