    Historical or Biographical Sketch: The Arts & Sciences Program was established in 1962. In 1971 the program was reorganized into the School of Arts and Humanities and was later restructured in 1980 as the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences when the college became a university. In 1998 the colleges were split into the College of Arts & Humanities and the College of the Sciences.

    Scope and Content Note: The collection consists of published reports and studies conducted by faculty members related to academic programs at Central Washington State College, and its successor Central Washington University, from 1970 to 1988. Included are project plans to develop or enhance programs, handbooks, guides, perspectives and other published materials by the University.
