    Historical or Biographical Sketch: The Graduate Studies Program at Central Washington University was established in 1947 when the Washington State Legislature authorized Central Washington College of Education to offer a Master of Education degree. In 1963, the Legislature granted the University the right to offer Master of Arts and Master of Science degrees. More graduate programs were added from the 1970s to the present. Currently, the University offers over thirty different graduate degrees.

    Scope and Content Note: The collection consists of studies and reports subsidized by state and federal grants to the Graduate Studies Program at Central Washington University from 1985 to 2000.
