How to Obtain a Library PIN
(Personal Identification Number)

to view your own library record

To obtain a Library PIN for the first time you need to go to the option to "View Your Patron Record" from the CATTRAX menu in your Web browser. You may use any computer with a Web browser and an Internet connection to access this page.

  • You will be creating this PIN specifically to use certain aspects of our CATTRAX Online Catalog system and our Summit service that delivers books to you from 26 other libraries in Washington and Oregon.
  • When you choose to 'view your own library record' the terminal will prompt you to enter a new PIN. Enter either numbers, letters or a combination of both to create a PIN four or more characters long. After you have entered your PIN, you will be prompted again to confirm.
  • Do memorize your Personal Identification Number. If you forget it you will have to come to the Circulation Desk in the library with a picture ID to have it deleted. Then you will need to create a new PIN number in CATTRAX.

Using the PIN to view your own library record will allow you online access to:

  • Verify which books you have checked out and when they are due.
  • Renew materials that are NOT overdue or requested (overdue items must be brought to the library and renewed at the Circulation Desk).
  • Check the status of your Summit requests.
  • Confirm that the information in your record is accurate
