The Brooks Library has been a depository for U.S. government publications since 1962. SuDocs call numbers, which arrange materials by government agency, are used to organize this collection. Call numbers for documents can be found in our indexes, including CATTRAX.

The U.S. Government's search engine. Designed to provide links by topic to federal government agency internet sites.
Federal Documents Page
Large website at the University of Michigan. Provides access to government information on the Internet by topic or agency.
GPO Access
The official database of the U.S. Government. Contains current legislative, administrative, and other federal information sources that need to be accessible immediately after release. Also contains links to separate databases such as Browse Topics, a site designed to provide links to government information on the web by selected topic.
Uncle Sam
Uses the Google search engine to perform a topical internet search limited to government webpages.

MARCIVE and GPO Monthly Catalog
Indexes to U.S. government documents published from 1976 to present. Provide SuDocs numbers for all formats, and links to websites.
CATTRAX
CWU Library's online catalog contains subject indexing for current U.S. publications in the Documents collection. Links to many publications on the Internet are included.
Monthly Catalog of United State Government Publications
Paper index to government publications. Located on the 3rd floor index tables. Provides SuDoc numbers for materials in CWU's collection published prior to 1976, when online indexing begins.

GeoRef
Index and abstracts for literature in the geosciences. Includes many documents published by U.S. and state government agencies.
GEOBASE
Unique multidisciplinary database supplying bibliographic information and abstracts for development studies, the Earth sciences, ecology, geomechanics, human geography, and oceanography. The database provides current coverage of over 1,800 journals and archive coverage of several thousand additional titles.

Congressional Universe
Indexes and abstracts 1970+ U.S. legislative publications, laws and regulations, and information about members of Congress. Current publications are full text.
LexisNexis Academic
Full text of U.S. and state laws and court cases. Searches performed by keyword or legal citation.
THOMAS
Library of Congress database. Contains current legislative information, full text, with retrospective information continually added to the archives. Excellent resource for U.S. bills, committee reports and other information regarding federal legislation.

Statistics

ASI (American Statistics Index)
Paper index and abstract used to locate statistics produced by federal agencies. Published annually from 1973 to present. Located on 3rd floor Index tables.
Statistical Universe
Comprehensive access to over 30,000 tables of statistical information. The service allows users to search summaries of statistical publications, then link to the full-text of selected publications on Statistical Universe and government Web sites.
Census 2000
Full text database with the latest census figures from the Census Bureau.
STAT-USA
Full text database produced by the Census Bureau containing information on economics, business, international trade, and foreign countries. Data is loaded immediately after it is tabulated.
