What is ILLiad?

ILLiad is our web-based Interlibrary Loan system. All users are required to complete the one-time registration; thereafter users will only have to enter their username and password to place ILL requests.

Central Washington University Library Interlibrary Loan adheres to the Copyright Law of the United States.

The Copyright Law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgement, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.

Additional Service for Students at University Centers

University Center patrons may also request materials from our CWU Brooks Library collection using our Document Delivery service, in addition to using our regular Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service, which provides materials from other libraries.

Delivery and Return of all online requested materials
(Document Delivery and ILL) --

  • We will electronically deliver articles to patrons.
  • We will mail all returnable materials to patrons using USPS first class mail.
  • Patrons will return all returnable materials using either:
    • USPS first class mail at your own expense (return shipping label enclosed inside the item) or
    • Return to the Transaction Counter at your University Center (See below).
  • CWU Courier pick-up days vary – check the CWU Courier web page.
  • If needed, please contact us for a renewal:
