Clearing Temporary Internet Files - Internet Explorer (IE)
1. Begin by clicking on the dropdown box at the top labeled Tools. A menu then appears on screen as you will see under Step #2, below.
2. In this menu click on the box labeled Delete Cookies.
3. A second, small menu will appear within the first, larger menu. This box says Delete all cookies in the Temporary Internet Files folder? Click on OK to delete all cookies.
4. Now you will clear the Temporary Internet Files from your computer. This will not harm your computer in any way. Browsers such as IE store web pages that you have already visited in the past. You will simply be clearing these cached versions of pages from your computer and making sure that any pages you subsequently retrieve will be current and correct.
- Choose Delete Files.
- Check the box labeled Delete all offline content.
- Click on Delete files to clear these old versions of pages stored on your computer.
