Clearing Temporary Internet Files - Mozilla/Netscape
Both the Mozilla browser and the Netscape browser share the same Gecko Rendering Engine, the underlying software that "takes content (such as HTML, XML, image files, applets, and so on) and formatting information (such as Cascading Style Sheets, hard-code HTML tags, etc.) and displays the formatted content on the screen."
For this reason we are including screen shots from the Mozilla browser, though the same steps should apply to Netscape users. If you follow the screen shots below you'll be on your way to clearing your temporary cache and increasing your chances of logging in to our databases and e-journals, should you be having trouble gaining access.
1. Click on the Edit buton and then select Preferences.
2. Click on the Advanced arrow and a sub-menu will appear, as shown in Step 3, below.
3. Click on Cache to begin clearing all temporary files.
4. Click on Clear Cache to remove all temporary files.
5. Click on the Privacy & Security arrow to begin clearing Cookies.
6. Click on Cookies...
7. Locate and then click on the Cookie Manager button in the lower right hand portion of the menu.
